Health Care Reform Commercial
I just saw a commercial from Patients United Now in which a woman says that she had brain cancer, and her Canadian health care wouldn't treat her for 6 months. Supposedly, the only reason she is alive now is because she sought care in America. Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWxcv0Dummk
1) The writers of the health care bill have been more than clear that the new bill will not reflect the Canadian health care system.
"We are not Europe. We are not Canada... We need a uniquely American solution. It
has to be a partnership of public and private players." -Sen. Max Baucus
2) Shona Holmes explains to have a 'brain tumor' and if she had waited for 6 months to get treatment in Canada she would be dead. So what she is saying is that she has a malignant brain tumor that is going to kill her within 6 months? False. Shona Holmes was diagnosed with a Rathke's cleft cyst. Although the Cyst is rare, and can cause headaches and vision problems, IT IS NOT DEADLY. Seriously, don't believe me? Read the case study for yourself: http://www.mayoclinic.org/patientstories/story-339.html
Why are organizations like Patients United Now so afraid of health care reform that they feel it necessary to misconstrue information to the American public? Maybe because Patients United Now is supported by companies such as Blue Cross, Pfizer, Kotch Industries, CIGNA, and Altria (formerly Phillip Morris).
So, you can either actually sit down and read the actual health care bill and form an opinion that way. OR, you can let corporate America tell you what is best for you.
Ps: In case you don't know, Altria (Phillip Morris) is the biggest tobacco company in America. Seriously, a tobacco company dares to tell people about what is best for their health? Seriously?

Aly Quesada Graduation Photos
Here is the final product of my graduation photo shoot. This is my first attempt at photography of this kind; as well as my first time using a lighting umbrella. I shot this with the Canon 40D, Canon 17-85mm f:4-5.6, Canon 580EX II Flash, Alien Bees Translucent White Umbrella, and the Alien Bees CyberSync wireless remote.

Yucaipa Fire
A fire broke out East of Crafton Hills today. The fire was quickly contained by ground and aerial fire crews. No homes were destroyed, but an estimated 150 acres were burned.

I tried getting closer, but I was quickly discovered, harassed, and turned around by the Yucaipa Sheriffs Dept.

mewithoutyou - it's all crazy! it's all false! it's all a dream! it's alright

Mewithoutyou will never be popular, they will never go platinum, gold, or even bronze; and this is what makes their newest album It's all crazy! it's all false! it's all a dream! it's alright truely spectacular.
MWOY is just too talented, too deep, too challenging too to be popular. It is a fortunate truth.
Adding musical characteristics comparable to that of Bob Dylan and Joanna Newsome, MWOY gives the listener a musical experience that is completely unique to the genre; while at the same time exploring relevent spiritual and moral issues through their narrative storytelling. It takes no effort for one to recognize that the band has drastically matured both musically and spiritually.
Please, for the love of God and all that is holy, buy this album. In twenty years your children will thank you.
It’s all crazy ! It’s all false ! It’s all a dream ! It’s alright is set to releases on Vynil and Compact Disc on March 19. Preorder the album now from Itunes or from Tooth and Nail .
